India’s 2022 World Heritage Sites
India is home to 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The most recent additions to the list under “Cultural” are Dholavira and Ramappa Temple. Telangana’s “Ramappa Temple” and Gujarat’s “Dholavira,” which will be added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites in 2021. This choice was made during the 44th meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which took place in China. There are now 40 World Heritage Sites in total as opposed to 38 in 2021.

A location is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The Convention regarding the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, accepted by UNESCO, serves as an illustration of this.
